The Late List, Round 1

I have a completely HUGE list of movies that I haven’t seen. However, I became really overwhelmed with the task at hand (we are talking hundreds). With the help of Kevin and my friends on the Wave, I came up with a “to-do” list of 25(ish) films. Some of them are film series, but I’ll start with the first of the series and see if I like them enough to move on. I’ll keep track of the movies I watch, and also link to the reviews that are posted. You know. Because I’m sure you’re all very interested.

This is my round 1 list, so keep in mind that there are PLENTY of movies I have yet to see.

[Editor's note: Some people have asked about movies I watched as a part of this project before it became a blog. In the past two years I watched the following movies for the first time: Princess Bride, Harold and Maude, the three Indiana Jones movies worth watching, Taxi Driver, Terminator 2 (but not T1), Metropolis, Saving Private Ryan and Airplane.

  1. Top Gun
  2. Goonies
  3. Raging Bull
  4. Rocky
  5. Coming to America
  6. Hoosiers
  7. Usual Suspects
  8. Karate Kid
  9. Spaceballs
  10. Animal House
  11. Big Lebowski
  12. Full Metal Jacket
  13. Willy Wonka
  14. Citizen Kane
  15. Die Hard
  16. Alien
  17. Naked Gun
  18. Platoon
  19. On the Waterfront
  20. Planes, Trains and Automobiles
  21. Tombstone
  22. Scarface

Great list, only about 3 movies on the list that I haven’t seen.

  3. I’ve seen all of these, but only finally caught up with The Goonies lately. I think you had to be 12 to like that movie. Excited to see what you thought of these after you watch them!
